From December 2nd, foreign students of the Polytechnic University can independently vaccinate with the Sputnik Light vaccine at polyclinic № 76. The Polyclinic № 76 insistently offers foreign students to immunize against COVID-19.
VACCINE: «Sputnik-Light» (is done once). After vaccination, a foreign citizen receives a QR-code.
QR-code will be valid:
- Without СНИЛС (SNILS) – the QR-code will work only on the St. Petersburg territory
- If a foreign citizen has СНИЛС (SNILS) – QR-code will be valid on the territory of the entire Russian Federation.
Vaccination on holidays in January 2022 will be available: on January 3, 4, 5, 6 at Polyclinics № 76 from 10:00 to 17:00

According to the order №2710 from 20.12.2021 “On preventing the spread of coronavirus infection”, since December, 20th Polytechnic University switches to implementation of educational programs of higher education and postgraduate study in all forms of training exclusively with the use of electronic learning and distance learning technologies.
New restrictive measures are being introduced at the Polytechnic University since 20.12.2021 until further notice:
- Online mode of studies for ALL educational programs (including the session)
- An isolation regime for residents of the dormitory No. 13.
- Prohibition of the issuance of invitations to foreign nationals to study and visit SPbPU until a special order, as well as entering data on foreign nationals on the “Single portal of state and municipal services (functions)” (Gosuslugi) based on the letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia from 08.12.2021 № MN-7/10283.
- Organization of support for foreign students living in the dormitory No. 13 and the modular dormitories of the maneuvering fund (Building A, Building B, and Building D) by the tutor service of foreign students.
- Cancellation of all mass public, cultural, and sporting events for students on the SPbPU territory
- Exclusion of visitors’ access to the buildings of the SPbPU Student Campus.
- Restriction of entrance to academic buildings for students

In connection with requests from foreign students from visa-free countries who are on vacation in their homeland or who have entered SPbPU to study in the 2020/2021 academic year, we inform: foreign students arriving in the Russian Federation to study at SPbPU by independently crossing the state border Russia (land), must have a migration card for the purpose of entry "STUDY". Foreign students who have a different purpose of entry in their migration card do not have the right to stay in a SPbPU dormitory. Passage to the modular dormitories is carried out:

- after hours, on weekends and holidays through the gate 4.
If you plan to stay on self-isolation in the dormitory, 3 days before arrival, please report by e-mail: soloveva_uv@spbstu.ru the following information:

- Citizenship and country of origin;
- Estimated time of arrival at the dormitory.
You must have a passport with a mark of crossing the border of the Russian Federation.
Being on self-isolation, you are obliged to:
- restrict contacts and movements (go outside only to visit a grocery store and pharmacy);
- 2 times a day, make a measurement of body temperature with fixation in the temperature sheet, which is located in each room;
- follow the rules of personal hygiene, use disinfectants and a protective mask in public places;
- perform daily wet cleaning and airing of residential premises at least 2 times a day;
- within 2 (two) days after crossing the border of the Russian Federation, pass a test for the presence of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Citizens crossing the border of the Russian Federation on visas, as well as citizens of Uzbekistan, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, for statement on the migratory account within 3 days, must provide the following documents by e-mail pvo@spbstu.ru:
- copy of all passport pages;

The student's relocation to a permanent place is possible after receiving a negative result of the COVID-19 test and is carried out only during the opening hours of the administration of dormitories.

The decision on what online courses you need to take and what educational materials to study in a particular discipline is made by the teacher.
Students communicate with teachers (student counseling, receiving academic works, etc.) through forums on educational portals of the institutes (LMS), in VKontakte groups, using instant messengers, and also through the Deputy Director for Educational Activities of the institute (contacts are placed on institutes’ websites). - How do I apply?

- What are the application documents?
All applicants should submit a copy of passport and educational document with transcript. In case you have not managed to receive your educational document yet, you may submit current transcript and certificate of enrollment. Please note that as soon as you receive your final educational document you should send it to your admission manager.
-Do I need to submit language certificate if I am going to study in English?
If you have a language certificate, you can submit it, but it is not obligatory. If you are applying for bachelor’s degree programs taught in English, you need to take English language entrance exam; if you are applying for master’s degree program taught in English, you do not neeв to take English language entrance exam.
-Do I need to apply for university foundation program first if I am going to apply for English-taught program?
It is not obligatory. University foundation programs are recommended for those applicants who are going to study in Russian.
- When do the borders open?
Russia resumes flight connection and opens borders with the countries with improved epidemiological situation, but it is too early to announce something real. The government makes the decision regarding opening borders and we check for updates daily. We hope that by the beginning of the next academic year the situation will get better.
- How can I receive visa invitation?
Visa invitations are prepared for citizens of counties that Russia resumed flight commotion with. The procedure is the same – admission manager will request the necessary information and apply for your visa invitation to the federal migration office that is responsible for visa invitations issuance. All the visa invitations are issued in electronic format – your admission manager will send it to you via email.
- I can’t enter the Russian Federation to study. What do I do?
Since December 20 Polytechnic University organized online study format for all students of all education programs. – Polytech has been providing online education due to the pandemic for 4 semesters now – in case your country remains closed and you will not be able to travel to St. Petersburg, you will start your studies in online mode. All educational programs, all disciplines and courses taught at SPbPU, during the coronavirus period are implemented in full force and effect.
- Can I go home to my country?

- How the study process will be organized?
Study process organization depends on the epidemiological situation and regulatory authorities’ decisions.

- Do you have online degree programs?
Online studies is a temporary measure caused by the pandemic. Polytech does not have online degree programs.
- What is the tuition fee?
- Tuition fee for the next academic year 2022-2023 is available here.
- Tuition fee for Master degree programs for the next academic year 2022-2023 is available here.
- Tuition fee for PhD programs for the next academic year 2022-2023 is available here.
- Does Polytech have scholarships?
- Polytech is one of the organizers of the international scholarship competition “Open doors”. Winners of the competition get a scholarship that covers tuition fee for studying master’s degree programs or PhD at Russian universities.
- Besides, Polytech accepts students who received Russian ministry of education scholarship (so-called «quota») that overs tuition fee as well. Unfortunately, Polytech does not have scholarships for applicants that can be received directly from the university, because there are financial support options for enrolled students for participating in double degree programs/ exchange programs/international conferences etc. http://opendoors.spbstu.ru/english.html
- Does Polytech have student dormitories?
Polytech offers student accommodation on campus. Near the dormitories, there are sport centers, student hospital, metro stations, shops and shopping centers – as you can see the campus is located in a district with developed infrastructure.
A place in the dormitory is provided to full-time students.
- What are the living options? Are single rooms available?
Polytech offers shared dormitories – there are 2-3 students living in each rooms, shared bathroom and small kitchen (for 2 such rooms). Each dormitory has a laundry room and space for studying.
All scheduled mass public, cultural, and sporting events for students on the SPbPU territory are cancelled. Please follow the official website of SPbPU and social networks of the University for the dates and changes in the schedule.

In case of respiratory infection (in case of positive results of laboratory testing for COVID-19) among the residents in the dormitories to ensure their immediate isolation to the infectious disease hospital and transfer of contact persons to the modular dormitories of the manned fund (building A, building B, and building D).

St. Petersburg Polytechnic University protects its students and staff
When in January 2020, the first information on the outbreak of a new coronavirus in the PRC appeared, a working group was formed under the leadership of the SPbPU Rector A. I. Rudskoi on the coordination of measures to prevent coronavirus infection and monitor the situation with the disease.
In February, an operational command unit was organized to develop and implement measures to prevent the occurrence of coronavirus infection in the university. The command unit included key vice-rectors, heads of supporting units and representatives of Polyclinic No. 76 serving the university.
Rector's orders were issued on:
- Prohibition of mass social, cultural and sporting events at the university
- Postponement of international conferences scheduled at the university in the spring and summer of 2020
- Postponement of international meetings
- Prohibition of business trips abroad for employees and students
- Transfer of students from China located in the territory of their country to distance learning
- Restriction of business trips within the country
- Restricting access by unauthorized persons to educational buildings and student dormitories
- Conducting scheduled conferences online
- Implementation of the recommendations of health authorities upon returning from foreign countries
- Daily monitoring of sick students staying in the dormitories
In all areas of administrative, educational and economic activity, a system for specific actions was developed aimed at protecting the staff and students, as well as disinfection of the premises and territories of the university:
- Special disinfectants were purchased
- Thermal imagers for remote temperature measurement were purchased
- Training of management personnel on the use of special disinfectants was carried out
- Inside educational buildings and dormitories rooms were allocated for temporary isolation of patients
- A manual on hygiene was prepared and distributed to prevent contagion with coronavirus
- A list of organizations and agreements with them on the provision of food and household goods in case of emergency has been prepared
- Monitoring was introduced for students attending classes, and teachers and staff coming to work with an operational analysis of the reasons of absence
- Duty staff was provided with thermal imagers
- The staff and students are informed about preventive and protective measures through various resources, including the website and social networks of the university.
Monitoring of the situation and development of additional measures are carried out by the operational headquarters at daily meetings. Information on measures related to the prevention of a new coronavirus is timely posted on the university website.
We would like to draw your attention to clause 1.13 of the Recommendations for the prevention of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 in educational institutions of higher education dated July 29, 2020, of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, according to which “International students are allowed to the educational process after 14 days of isolation (since the date of entry into the Russian Federation), with a test for COVID-19 on days 10-12 by the PCR method.”
Since March 16, 2020, a strict separation of patient flows has been introduced at City Polyclinic No. 76: for those who turn to doctors with symptoms of ARVI and those who come to specialist physicians for diagnosis.
By appointment, therapists temporarily see patients at the branch of Clinic No. 76 at the address: 8 Nepokorennykh Ave., building 2 (in the courtyard of the polyclinic, within short walking distance from the main entrance).
A 112-service operator will put you in touch with the district clinic for a follow-up 14-day monitoring and a dual-fold examination for coronavirus infection.
Persons with signs of ARVI who have arrived from foreign states and those who have been in contact with citizens of foreign states, or Russians who have returned from abroad within the previous 14 days, WITHOUT ENTERING the POLYCLINIC shall:
- Call the duty administrator on the phone +7 (981) 877-29-41 and report about yourself;
- Come to room No. 114 THROUGH THE SEPARATE ENTRANCE located on the back of the building
- Put on a mask and shoe covers before entering
- Wait for a doctor.
Polyclinic No. 76 organized a point of collecting biomaterial for testing on the presence of a new coronavirus infection (2019-nCoV) for persons who did not leave the Russian Federation and did not contact those who arrived from foreign states. .
